Geography in Sligo
The overall coast of Ireland is comprised primarily of large bays and small, curvy inlets. In Sligo we have a low much, dissected coast-line. The coast is mostly irregular and much indented.
In Sligo (Accommodation, Sligo, Ireland), the bold limestone plateau of Ben Bulben looks down on tlie Atlantic. Around Lough Allen rise dark hills which yield coal and iron (Slieyeanieran, 1922 ft.), and run north to the long high ridge of Cuilcagh (2188 ft.) on
the borders of Cavan. The uplands extend northward as far as Lough Erne.
